hey guys, i don't own a neon but my neighbor does and he has a little problem. His LOW beam headlights don't work. His high beams do but his lows don't. The filaments in the bulbs are good (just replaced them a week ago). Its really strange because if you drive his car with the high beams on for a few minutes and then switch to the low beams the low beams work. Any idea what this could be? Any assistance would be appreciated. oh yeah one more thing. I checked the voltage at the connector for the bulb and it read 0 when his lows were on but got 12 volts when the highs were on. I thought it was a relay issue but i checked the relay and i was fine too as was the fuse.

Very Happy

check the wiring at the headlight socket first. check it really good, unplug the bulb and look down it to see if the metal tabs are there and that the wires didn't work themselves free.

Might be the multifunction switch, too. They're notorious for going bad. Pull it apart and see if he has any melting.
